Polar Bear

Species: Ursus Maritimus

Dimensions: 2,4-3 m  x 700 kg

Polar bears are the largest bears in the world and the Arctic’s top predator. You better don’t mess with a polar bear even though it is a very vulnerable species. WWF estimates only around 22.000-31.000 polar bears in the world and their life is threatened by global warming that is reducing their natural habitat.

They are considered talented swimmers as they can swim at 10 km/h for days in order to hunt their prey. As a matter of fact, polar bears spend over 50% of their time hunting for food. When they are hungry (and angry too) they can reach 40 km/h and they use 42 razor sharp teeth to bite seals, that is their favorite meal.

Polar bears have 30 cm wide paws to attack opponents and to trek across ice and deep snow. Finally, polar bears are protected by 4 inches of fat. In LoA world polar bears are considered one of the most aggressive animals.
